It's easy to hop in your boat from our handy "Little Harbor". Water activities such as boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing are all enjoyed by our guests at Lake Cottage.
This part of the lake is not crowded and we are fortunate to have a grassy peninsula to further protect our cove. Our private peninsula is a favorite spot of our guests for fishing and swimming.

Our lake rental cottage and lake rental house are located on the east side of the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ between Lake LBJ and Inks Lake. From our location you can boat all the way down Lake LBJ to Horseshoe Bay, over 20 miles. You can also boat up the Llano River. Rental boats are available locally.
Lake Cottage at Little Harbor is about an hour northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 3 1/2 to 4 hours from Dallas/Ft. Worth, and 4 to 4 1/2 hours from Houston, Texas. Kingsland, Burnet, and Marble Falls are only a 10 to 15 minute drive away.
Our Accommodations:
Our accommodations consist of a two bedroom Main House, a one bedroom Lake Cottage, and a one bedroom Bunkhouse. The cottage and house are available on a nightly basis. The Bunkhouse can be used for additional guests with either the Lake Cottage or the Main House.

Lake Cottage
The charming guest cottage is nestled under many grand old pecan trees which provide a shady canopy for the Main House and yard as well. There are great views of the water from the living room, bedroom, and the oversized deck of the cottage.

The living/dining area of the cottage is attractively and comfortably furnished and has a great view of the water. A TV and VCR are provided for your entertainment.
Lake Cottage kitchenDue to the artistic talents of the owners' daughter-in-law, cheerful wildflowers bloom on the kitchen cabinets. A microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, dishes, and utensils are provided. A barbeque grill is handy for outdoor dining on the deck.

The cozy bedroom has a queen sized bed and is decorated in soft pastel shades. The adjoining bath has a shower. Guests enjoy a nice view of the water from the bedroom.

The Lake Cottage can be rented on a nightly basis with a two night minimum stay. On holiday weekends the minimum stay is three nights.
Our Bunkhouse, a screened-in porch, is a favorite place for children and adults. This sleeping porch reminds one of those long ago summer nights on Grandma's back porch. Open and airy, with great views of the back yard and water, on warm summer evenings guests draw straws to see who gets to sleep in the Bunkhouse.

With additional bunk beds, the Bunkhouse can sleep up to four people. Giggling and talking all night are permitted.
The Bunkhouse has its own private outside entrance and can be used with the Lake Cottage or the Main House to provide lodging for extra guests.

Extensive remodeling and restoration have been done to the Main House. Walls were removed, linoleum removed to reveal beautiful wood floors, wiring and plumbing replaced, new kitchen counter tops, new paint throughout, etc.
A new stone fireplace was added which helps make the living room the ideal place to spend an evening. The living room offers one of the best views of the water.

The cheerful, open kitchen is pleasant and efficient. The attractive counter tops are poured concrete with a smooth waxed finish. More hand-painted touches are decorating the cabinets.
The master bedroom of the Main House
The master bedroom has a crisp and airy feel to it. Colorful rugs adorn the wood floors. The bed, wicker rocker, and antique dresser add a touch of nostalgia to the room.
The second bedroom in the Main House
Colorful quilts and bedding add to the appeal of the second bedroom. A settee provides a comfortable spot for repose. There is also a desk in this bedroom.
The oversized, two-tier deck on the Main House
The deck is the most popular place to relax. Mornings and evenings are delightful times to sip coffee or your favorite drink and listen to the "quiet." Just relax and watch the boats and waterskiing on the lake. Life at the lake couldn't be better.
The Main House can be rented on a nightly basis with a two night minimum stay. On holiday weekends the minimum stay is three nights. The Main House is available for Winter Texans by the month.
There is sleeping for up to four in the Main House. The Bunkhouse can be used for extra guests if you have more than four people in your group and if it is available. The Lake Cottage can also provide extra sleeping if needed, and if it is available.

There is sleeping for 4 in the Main House, 2 in the Lake Cottage, and up to 4 people in the Bunkhouse.
The Bunkhouse can be used for up to 4 extra guests with either the Main House or the Lake Cottage.
From April 1 through September 30 there is a 2 night minimum stay at the Lake Cottage and the Main House, 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends. Monthly rentals are available from Oct. 1 through March 3.
