These two charming lake cottages are located in Kingsland, Texas, across the street from the water, overlooking beautiful Lake LBJ.  These lake cottages welcome you from the moment of your arrival. 

The cottages are not directly on the water but they both have a nice lake view, and  there is a boat launch at the end of the street that you can use.

"The Honeymoon Cottage" will accommodate 2 people in the master bedroom and the twin loveseat can accommodate an extra guest.  If you need additional room, you can also rent the "The Blue Moon Cottage" along with The Honeymoon Cottage.  The Blue Moon Cottage will sleep up to an additional 6 people.

This charming cottage is perfect for the happy couple, newlyweds or lifetime honeymooners.  Its romance and charm will set the stage for the perfect romantic getaway.  The morning glories greet you at the entrance and beckon you past the shade of a stately pecan tree, on past an old fashioned rose garden and up the steps of a wide, welcoming porch.

Sit a spell on the Bentwood swing or in one of the rocking chairs on the porch and take in the beauty of this idyllic setting.  A view from the front porch through the shady yard, framed in a nostalgic picket fence, and beyond to the sparkling lake, is a view that is sure to soothe the senses and put the brakes on hectic lifestyles. 

Guests love sitting on the porch in the swing, watching the boats and water skiers go by on the lake. 

Gentle lake breezes are common, but two ceiling fans are there if needed.

   
Living Room

Large picture windows frame the lake view and provide cheerful light to the crisp white and pastel furnishings.  A brick, woodburning fireplace adds to the ambiance of the room, which is great for those romantic weekends! 

The dining area provides seating for eating, game playing and reading.  There are many books and magazines in the cottages for your reading pleasure. 

An additional guest can sleep on the twin sofa sleeper in the living room. 

Finding different uses for antique furniture was fun for Jeanette, who is an interior decorator.  She put her talents to use throughout these two lake cottages, collecting fun antiques from Kingsland, Marble Falls, Llano and Round Top.   
For example, an antique dresser gets new life as a bar.  An old window becomes a cabinet front for china cups and saucers.  A TV, VCR and DVD player are housed in an armoire. 


Kitchen

The fully equipped galley style kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal or snack.  All you need to bring is your food and drinks.

A full-sized washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.


Bedroom

A dreamy, romantic atmosphere is created with the gauzy panels of the luxurious bed with its comfy mattress and  pillow top.  The bed was hand crafted from Homestead Stores of Fredericksburg, Texas,   A matelasse spread and vintage quilt also add character to the room.  Ralph Lauren and Shabby Chic brand linens help create the romantic bedroom. 

An antique Swedish vanity table with antique sconce lighting is provided, as well as a magnified vanity mirror.

The adjoining bath has a tub/shower combination.  The walls of the bathroom are covered with sunny wallpaper accented with a motif of Adirondack beach chairs.  A miniature Adirondack chair on the counter top cleverly holds wash cloths and adds a bit of whimsy to the room.  A blow dryer is provided.


Outdoor entertainment area

A favorite gathering place for guests from either cottage is the outdoor wood-burning fireplace and deck area with a barbeque grill and smoker ready for your outdoor meal.   An umbrella table provides seating with a view of the lake in one direction and Lookout Point in the other direction. 

You can rent The Honeymoon Cottage by itself or both cottages can be rented together for larger groups.

 

Blue Moon Cottage


The Blue Moon Cottage

If you need more space than The Honeymoon Cottage you can rent The Blue Moon Cottage with The Honeymoon Cottage.  The Blue Moon Cottage will sleep up to six people and is cleverly decorated with the whole family in mind.  The view of the lake is equally good from this cottage, as well as a beautiful mountian view to the side.  The full moon rising above the mountain is a sight to see!

Room with a single bed and a double bed

A cheerful nautical theme is carried out with Ralph Lauren wallpaper, Tommy Hilfiger bedding and accessories.  Beautiful oak floors warm this room.  A delightful rug representing children of all nations anchors the room and makes this room family friendly.  An antique wicker dressing table in a well lighted corner of the room is the perfect place for Mom to do her makeup.  A magnified mirror is provided, too.

 
Multipurpose room with three single beds, TV and dining area

The kids will love their own four poster bed and miniature pool table.  This room has three twin beds and an inflatable bed for two and includes a dining area and small kitchen.  A cute, hand-painted armoire houses a TV, VCR and stereo.

Large picture windows with shutters provide maximum views of the lake as well as privacy when needed.

A vanity table with a compact magnifying mirror is provided.

The Blue Moon Cottage bathroom will make you smile with its colorful beach themed wallpaper displaying a variety of flip-flop sandals in brightly colored designs and its tiled floor.  A blow dryer is provided.

The compact kitchen has a microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee pot and a view of the lake.

During the season our peach tree is loaded with beautiful, juicy peaches.  

Our guests are invited to pick a peach or two while you are enjoying your stay at the lake.

  One Cottage - $185/night
  Both Cottages - $370/night

Peak Time rates .... May 15-Aug 15 , & ALL HOLIDAYS
  One Cottage - $225/night
  Both Cottages -$450/night
