Ready for a great family vacation?  Come to The Edgewater, a waterfront resort on beautiful Lake Buchanan, the largest of the upper four Highland Lakes in the Texas Hill Country.  We are only 60 minutes northwest of Austin and about 90 minutes north of San Antonio.

Like to fish?  Lake Buchanan is the perfect place to catch that trophy striped bass.  You can fish from our lighted fishing pier, our shore, your boat, or a fishing guide's boat.  Fishing guides are available locally to take you out on Lake Buchanan.  We have a fish cleaning station with manually operated spray wands and viscera chute.

Our Boat Ramp

Our handy boat ramp makes it easy to launch your boat for a day of fun on the lake.  We are lucky to have a launch that is accessible even at the lowest lake levels for crafts up to 20 feet.

 
Recreation Room

There is plenty of room for everyone in our spacious Recreation Room with seating and tables for over 60 people.  Do you like to play  pool or shuffleboard?  Do you like to gather around the piano and sing old favorites?  Or if you prefer to read, watch TV, play video games or play poker, all are provided for you. 

If you are staying at our resort, whether temporarily or permanently, please contact our office for reserving our recreation room.  The recreation room  is also available to the public for $150 per day.

The kitchen area of the recreation room includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffeemaker for your convenience.  Guests really enjoy our recreation room and many happy family reunions have been hosted here.

Our Swimming Pool

Our swimming pool is located next to the recreation room for those who prefer swimming in a swimming pool instead of swimming in the lake.  It is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.

We have several different sized cabins for rent which can accommodate from 2 to 12 people depending on the particular unit.  All cabins are heated and air conditioned, and have a beautiful view of Lake Buchanan.

The cabins are furnished with linens, dishes, tableware, and cooking utensils.  Please bring your own beach towels.  TVs are provided, and have cable TV and DVD players.  We also prove DVD and VHS tapes for rent in the office store along with bait, tackle, drinks, snacks, ice and other items.  You can also watch TV in the recreation room.

Many large shade trees cover the spacious grounds providing shady areas for picnics, outdoor gatherings, and games.  You will enjoy the nice views of Lake Buchanan from the grounds.

RV Spaces For Rent

We have 37 RV spaces, all with 4 way hookups.  Many of the spaces are drive thru spaces.  All amenities of the resort are available for your use including: washateria, shower rooms, recreation room, boat docks, boat launching ramp, covered fishing pier, swimming pool, beach, etc.

If you would like to come by and pop up a tent, please do.The charge is $20.00 per day per tent.  You will have access to public restrooms and showers and all the park offers or our other visitors and residents.

We have permanent RV and mobile home sites for rent for those who would like a year-round vacation spot.  We offer our RV spaces 15-37 for $250 per month.  Mobile homes sites require  1-year lease for $250 a month.  Electricity and cable TV are available at your expense.  Please come and view our beautiful park.

2 Night minimum rental is required for a weekend stay.
Reservations require 1 night's deposit per cabin.  All deposits are refundable with 2 week's notice before reservation dates.  No refunds for early departure.

Swimming pool is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. weather permitting.
TV cable is wired to each cabin.  TVs equipped with DVD are provided.
