And we have a lot of clear days on beautiful Lake Buchanan in central Texas. Lake Buchanan is one of the most popular boating and fishing lakes in Texas.
Island Escape Lake House is perfectly situated on Shaw Island with a full view of both the large south body of water and a great view of the cove to the north on Lake Buchanan. Views of the lake can be enjoyed from nearly every room of the lake house. Here at Island Escape Lake House you truly feel a part of the lake.

This is deck sitting at it finest! Take a front row seat to all of the activity on the lake. Barbeque your catch of the day on our barbeque grill. Enjoy a spectacular sunset, and then later on gaze at the stars which shine more brightly, free from the glare of city lights. It doesn't get any better than this!
With over 150 feet of private lakefront property on half an acre, a private pier, and a peaceful north bay, this home is a fisherman's delight. The owners have watched white bass jump up right in front of the house, just waiting to be caught! Striped bass and black bass are plentiful as well as crappie and some "massive" catfish. Some of these catfish would put Walter Matthau's and Jack Lemon's catfish to shame. The lake was recently stocked with another 1 1/2 million striped bass.
Waterskiing, swimming, jet skiing, boating and other water sports are easily accessed out your back door. A sandy beach is perfect for sunning, wading and swimming. Launching and docking your boat couldn't be any easier at our convenient boat launch and dock.
Spring wildflowers are plentiful
Springtime brings out the finest display of Bluebonnets on the adjoining field near the lake house. This is a sight to behold and an extra bonus for our springtime guests. The wildflowers can last from March until June when the rainfall is adequate.
Living and dining rooms
This comfortable 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 bath lake house sleeps up to 12 people comfortably, with a maximum of 15. A bonus room with a fabulous lake view adds extra space and sleeping area. This newly remodeled home with attractive tile floors, fresh paint, new furnishings, kitchen cabinets and appliances, and other improvements feels fresh and new.
You will enjoy plenty of comfortable seating and room to relax after a fun day on the lake. Watch your favorite show on cable TV with VCR & DVD players.
Fully equipped kitchen
The spacious, newly remodeled kitchen comes with everything you need to make all of your snacks and meals. A dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and all of the pots and pans and dinnerware are provided for your convenience. All you need to bring is your food and your drinks.
First Bedroom with 2 double beds
and a private bathroom
The three bedrooms in the home provide privacy and comfort for up to 8 guests. The living room and the bonus room provide additional sleeping for up to 4 more guests. The first bedroom has a private bathroom with a shower and the other bedrooms share a bathroom in the hallway with a shower/tub combination.
