In the Highland Lakes of Central Texas

More commonly known as the "360 Bridge," the Percy V. Pennybacker Jr. Bridge is a striking through-arch bridge that spans Lake Austin, connecting the northern and southern portions of Loop 360—also called the Capital of Texas Highway.
This iconic bridge earned national recognition by winning first place in the 1984 Federal Highway Administration’s Excellence in Highway Design competition. In 1992, it was honored by the Austin chapter of the Consulting Engineers Council of Texas as the most innovative example of local architecture. Beyond its design accolades, the bridge serves as a popular launch point for boats and a scenic gathering spot along the lake.
Lake Austin is a constant-level reservoir and the sixth in the chain of Highland Lakes along the Colorado River in Central Texas. It begins at Mansfield Dam and stretches to Tom Miller Dam, both of which generate hydroelectric power for the region.
Towering cliffs line portions of the lake, offering wind protection and creating ideal conditions for boating and water sports. These cliffs are also home to luxurious residences with panoramic views. Anglers frequent the lake for its healthy populations of largemouth bass, catfish, and sunfish.
