Looking for a great vacation spot on the water? Escape to your own island at this waterfront home, located on the Llano River arm of Lake LBJ. The smooth water is ideal for water sports and the sandy beach is perfect for wading or building sand castles. Enjoy the panoramic view of the lake, land, and Packsaddle Mountains from wall-to-wall windows in nearly every room. The spacious living room, sunroom and screened porch flow together for easy entertaining.

The home features an extra-wide waterfront sidewalk with plenty of room for swimmers, lawn chairs and fishing; and a pool ladder, with a sandy-bottom shoreline, for the perfect swim setting. Your private island allows for safe wading and sunbathing, and boaters will appreciate the sheltered docking area (boats may be tied off at cleats along the seawall, in calm waters protected by the sandy island).

Kingsland is a boating town that is popular throughout Texas for its boating and fishing activities. Lake LBJ is part of the Highland Lakes chain that starts by the vineyards at Tow and follows the Colorado River southeast for about 90 miles, to Austin. People come to Water Mountain Retreat for many reasons – no crowds, spectacular views, relaxation, swimming and boating – and once you’re here, you won’t want to leave.

Daily rate includes 6 guests over the age of 6 years. Each additional guest is $20, up to a maximum of 8 guests in the house. Talk with us about weekly and monthly rates. Reservations may be made by providing the first night’s deposit. A one-time cleaning fee of $75 is required.

Water Mountain Retreat is located on beautiful constant-level Lake LBJ in Kingsland. We're on River Oaks Drive in the Kingsland Estates, five minutes from gas, groceries and golf. And 20 seconds from the door to the water.

The lake home is 1.5 hours from Austin, San Antonio and San Angelo; 2.5 hours from Houston, 3.5 hours from Dallas/Ft. Worth.
