Looking for a getaway home on Lake LBJ?  Rainbow Cove Lake House, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath lake house, is located on Lake LBJ in Sunrise Beach.  If you are a Winter Texan, you will love spending the winter here.

Sunrise Beach is a vacation and retirement community about 60 minutes northwest of Austin and 90 minutes north of San Antonio.

Lake LBJ is a normally constant level lake and is popular for all types of water activities including:  boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, etc.  Lake LBJ is one of the nicest lakes in Texas.


Fishing from the shore

If you are the kind of person who likes to fish, you will love Rainbow Cove Lake House.  You can catch black bass, catfish or crappie from our 160 feet of shoreline, from our floating deck, from a boat, and you can even hire a fishing guide.  An electric frypan is available on the deck to fry your day's catch.


Floating Deck

Want to sunbathe and go swimming in the lake?   Our floating pontoon/sunbathing deck is ideal for this purpose.  The protected cove with a depth from 4 feet to 13 feet is ideal for swimming.


Boat Dock with Electric Lift

Dock your boat in our convenient boat dock with an electric lift.   Or, if you don't have a boat, one can be rented locally.  You can also rent jet skis, water skis, and pontoon boats in the area.


Wraparound Rear Deck

The generous wrap-around deck provides plenty of room for gazing at sunsets, watching the boats, playing cards, dining al fresco, or just enjoying the peaceful, natural environment on the lake.  Guests enjoy the view of the mountains across the cove from the deck.  The property is nicely shaded with giant Pecan trees.  We usually have a good crop of nutsin the fall.  Feel free to help yourself to any pecans on the ground.

Living Room at Rainbow Cove Lake House 

Get comfortable, pull up a chair next to the fireplace and select one of our books or bring a book you've been wanting to read.   We also have cable TV in the living room.  Anyone for checkers or cards?   The enclosed sun room/game room, just off the living room, will fill the bill.


Piano area

For the talented folks who can play the piano and belt out a show tune, you can gather around the piano and have a great time.  


Kitchen

The kitchen has modern appliances and everything you need to prepare snacks or a meal.  Barstools provide additional seating for visiting with the cook or grabbing a quick bite.


Dining Area

The dining area is part of the great room and seats four people.   The great room has a raised ceiling and a nice roomy feeling.


Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has a king sized "Select Comfort" bed with dual controls for individual comfort.  A walk-in closet provides plenty of room for your clothing.  There is an adjoining bathroom with the master bedroom.  A sliding door provides access to the rear deck and offers a view of the water.


Second Bedroom

The second bedroom has a brand new queen sized mattress.  The house is ideally suited for 2 couples.

The third bedroom has a single futon for additional sleeping space.  It has a sliding glass door that leads out to the rear deck and has a view of the water.

 
Sunsets and double rainbows over the lake

Mother Nature provides violet sunets and double rainbows for your viewing pleasure.  What a beautiful way to end the day at Rainbow Cove Lake House!
