Buchanan Lake RV Park is located in Tow, Texas close to Lake Buchanan, the largest of the four upper Highland Lakes in central Texas. Lake Buchanan is one of the most popular lakes in Texas for fishing and boating. Lake Buchanan has 124 miles of shoreline, is over 30 miles long and 5 miles wide at the widest point. It offers many coves to explore.
Lake Buchanan RV Park is a peaceful, shady park just minutes from the lake activity. Lake breezes, wildlife and friendly people make this a very pleasant place to spend your vacation.
Our rental cabin....
Our newly remodeled rental cabin has 2 bedrooms with a king-sized bed and a double bed, and a full bath. The spacious, new kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, new cabinets and corian counters. The living room and king bedroom have cable TV. Guests enjoy the covered porch. The cabin has plenty of room for sleeping bags to sleep extra people.Our RV Cabin is also very nice and comfortable for 2-4 people.
The owners of the RV park, Fred and Timi DeBusk, have worked hard upgrading hookups and landscaping, and building new facilities to make your stay at Buchanan Lake RV park comfortable.

Large shade trees for every RV space
There is plenty of shade throughout the RV park, plus the breezes from the lake make this a very comfortable park. Each space has a large tree providing nice shading.
We are a short drive to Fredericksburg and Enchanted rock. Fall Creek Winery is right here in Tow. Antique-ing and sightseeing abound.

Beach and boat ramp are
less than a minute away.
If you enjoy, swimming, wading, sunbathing or fishing from the bank, it is all only a short distance away at Lake Buchanan.

Several nearby community waterfront parks
offer a great place for a picnic along the lake, just minutes away from the Buchanan Lake RV Park. Relax under the shade trees and enjoy nature at its best. Drop a fishing line in the water and you just may catch your lunch.Children enjoy playing on the sandy beach and using the swings and teetertotters along the shore.
2 Boat launches just minutes away.....
Two boat launches are available to launch your boat at nearby parks. Both offer easy access to launch the boat and plenty of space for parking the trailer.

Wildflowers in central Texas every spring
The flowers are unbelievably beautiful in the springtime. People come from many miles to photograph the many types of flowers from March through June each year.

A nesting pair of bald eagles have caused quite a stir nesting next to Highway 29 with two fledglings. People came from hundreds of miles around to observe and photograph the birds. The eagles have been coming back each winter. |
The area is a haven for many different species of birds. It is a birdwatchers' paradise with bald eagles wintering at Lake Buchanan offering plenty of sighting opportunities.
Dozens of species of birds live in the area or migrate through the area. Some of the birds spotted in the area include: whooping cranes, Canadian snow geese, Canadian geese, pelicans, ducks, bald eagles, great blue herons, wild turkeys, quail, seagulls, painted buntings, roadrunners, robins, cardinals, finches, scissortails, kingfishers, storks, cranes, swallows, grackles, purple martins, etc.
Wildlife is abundant in the area. People have spotted red and grey foxes, armadillos, lots of white tailed deer, raccoons, opposums, ringtails, red, black and grey squirrels, bobcats and more.

Nightly rate starting at - $75 per night
Ask about our reduced rates for weekly rentals.The RV spaces have new electrical hookups, 50, 30 & 15 amp, water and sewer hookups. They are wired for cable TV and telephones.
All of the RV spaces have nice shade trees.
New restrooms and a laundry room are under construction.
Winter Texans: You are invited to spend the winter at our RV park. Winter Texans love our climate and friendly folks, and we love them, too. There is always something to do and each group seems to create a lot of their own fun. You can golf and fish year round in our area. The prices for dining and other activities are reasonable in our area.
