Come to Sandy Shores Vacation Home on Lake LBJ.  The lake house is conveniently located on the Llano River portion of Lake LBJ in Kingsland.  It is only 1 hour west of Austin, 1 1/2 hours north of San Antonio and about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth.

The wide sandy beach and sandy lake bottom is ideal for the whole family.  The kids love our beach for building sand castles, playing frisbee, and flying kites, while the grown-ups can soak up some sun, read a book or pitch horseshoes.  Wading, swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating are great at this peaceful part of the lake. 

Bring your boat or P.W.C. or rent one nearby.  You can pull it right up to the shore, load up the family and picnic stuff and tour the lake.  The area in front of the beach is great for teaching kids to water ski or wake board because of the remote location off of the main body of the lake and the water is rarely rough.

This is also a good spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and peaceful serenity of the lake.  If you are lucky you might get to see the hang gliders on the mountain across the lake.

Lake LBJ is a popular recreational lake because it is normally kept at a constant level, providing ideal conditions for boating, jet skiing, water skiing, and swimming.

Guests love gathering on the shady deck under the stately old pecan tree. You can watch the boats go by and the children play in the water below while relaxing on the deck.  Barbeque your catch of the day on the deck and enjoy a great view with your meal.  The two tables, chaise lounge and plenty of chairs allow ample seating for everyone.

There is plenty of room for games and for the children to play on our grassy slope leading to the beach.  In the fall it is fun to pick up the pecans for snacks.

Newly remodeled family room

Large windows frame a geat view of the lake from the family room and add cheerful light to the area.  The separate family room and living room allow family members to spread out into different areas.  While the children enjoy TV in the living room, the adults can relax in the family room. 

The living room comfortably seats 7 people for watching satellite TV or a movie on the DVD/VCR.  The living room has a sofa, love seat, easy chair, a rocker, entertainment center, and a coffee table.  The dining area with seating for six is the perfect spot for playing cards or other games.

The lake house has Wireless Internet Access, so bring along your notebook computer.

Newly remodeled kitchen

The newly remodeled kitchen has everything you need to fix a quick snack or a full meal.  Everything is provided for your convenience including a microwave and coffee pot.  Two refrigerators provide all the cold storage needed for your entire stay.  The grocery store is only 5 minutes away.

Master Bedroom 

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed.  The picture window in the master bedroom provides an excellent view of the deck and the lake below, a great scene to wake up to in the morning.  There is also a small TV with VCR in the master bedroom.

  
The Bunk Room

Kids love this room!   With 2 full beds, a set of bunk beds and a sleeper sofa, it has plenty of room for everyone.  This room will sleep up to 8 people.   Can you visualize a slumber party here?

The front bedroom

This comfortable bedroom has a king-sized bed and a large closet.  This room has windows looking out into the side yard and the front of the house.

The two bathrooms in the house are conveniently located for all guests.  One bathroom is located between the bunk room and the front bedroom and the other bathroom is located next to the master bedroom.  Both bathrooms have tub/shower combinations.

*Reservations require 50% of stay to hold, balance plus $500.00 damage deposit due upon arrival.  Deposit refunded promptly.

*Cancellations;  "If we can fill your reservation, we won't charge you."  We are not in the business of making money on others' cancelled vacations.  The sooner you can let us know, the faster we can try to fill your spot.
