Where can you find comfortable lodging in a quiet secluded atmosphere on the shore of beautiful Lake Buchanan?  At Silver Creek Resort, "The best kept secret in Texas," our guests have been enjoying the good life for years.

We have something for everyone:  2 lake rental houses that sleep up to 12 people each, and 9 lodges/cabins.  We also have a swimming pool, fishing pier, boat rentals, hot tub, houseboat rentals, fishing supplies, and gas on the water.

Spectacular boating, water skiing, jet skiing, and fishing on miles and miles of uncrowded open water make Silver Creek an ideal vacation spot for the whole family.  Houseboat, pontoon boat, and water ski rentals are available. 

It's easy to land a big one from
our covered, lighted fishing pier.

The bluff along the shore provides perfect depths for outstanding fishing year around from our 100' fishing pier.  We have everything you need for fishing including; live bait, tackle, and supplies.  If you need help with fishing, just ask.  We provide instruction.  After landing "Big Mo", we'll photograph him and you can clean him on the spot at our courtesy cleaning area complete with running water.

Our Easy Access Boat Launch Ramp

Launching your boat is a snap at our easy-access boat launch ramp.   There is plenty of room for parking your trailer, too.  After launching your boat, putter over to our dock to refuel.  Yes, we have gas on the lake!

activity for children and adults alike!

Beyond the boat ramp is a grassy area.  Be careful not to disturb the duck eggs since this appears to be a favorite nesting area.  Nature lovers and animal lovers love Silver Creek Resort.

Lake Buchanan is a winter nesting site for Bald Eagles and many bird lovers travel long distances to see these magnificient birds.  Other interesting waterfowl on the lake include: the great blue heron,  cormorants, and pelicans.   Farther up the lake you may spot Spanish goats, wild hogs, and white tailed deer along the shore.

For those guests who prefer swimming in a pool, our pool offers hours of fun in the sun.  It is situated adjacent to a grassy picnic cabana area for cookouts and group gatherings.

Silver Creek Resort is located on a peninsula and has the lake on three sides.  From our resort you can enjoy both incredible sunrises as well as sunsets.  Our guests often make comments about the beauty of the sunsets that they see from their cabins.

Looking for a boat to rent?  We have pontoon boats for rent.  We have also added a 36' and 46' houseboats to our fleet.

Did you know this is "Houseboat Haven"?  The sheer vastness of Lake Buchanan and multitude of wildlife, coupled with the unique geological landforms of the area make it the most interesting lake for houseboat navigation in central Texas.  Silver Creek Resort has 36' and 46' houseboats for rent if you do not have your own.

Likewise, Lake Buchanan is a "Sailor's Paradise".  Sailors will enjoy the uncrowded open waters.

Directions to Silver Creek Resort:
Go 3 miles west of Burnet on Hwy 29.
Turn north onto RR 2341.  Go 12 miles.
Turn left on CR 128 (Silver Creek Drive).
