Thunderbird Resort's Boat MarinaLake Buchanan is famous for boating, fishing and other water sports. Our convenient, covered marina will give you easy access to your boat. We also have some slips to accommodate larger boats.
Don't have a boat? No problem. We have canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, and power boats for our guests. Gas for boats and fishing bait are available at our marina. For the avid fishermen in your family, ask about the fishing guide service.

LodgingWe have a total of 23 units for lodging including: A large, luxury log cabin, cabins, cottages, mobile homes, and a large Lodge to suit every group's needs. Everyone from a honeymooning couple to a group of 20 can be comfortably accommodated under one roof.
The Texan Log Cabin
The Texan is a two-story, four bedroom, three bath, (jacuzzi tub for two in master bath) log cabin. It has a beautiful wrap around porch and adjoining gazebo. The patio is flagstone rock and it is in a very private setting. It will sleep a maximum of 18 people. The house is fully equipped and supplied with luxury furnishing and linens.Summer Rates - June 1st thru August 31st:

- The rates are based on the first 10 people - additional guests $10.00 per night per guest.
- The fee for Day Guests is $5.00 per person, per day.
- It is a non-smoking and no pets rental.
- A two day minimum is required except for holidays, which are a three night minimum.
Each of the units listed below have a fully equipped kitchen, linens, cable TV, barbecue grill and a picnic table. Everything has been provided for your convenience.

Thunderbird Resort Policies and Info:Senior Citizen Discount is for our guests over 60. The max discount is 10%. The discount is figured based on the # of seniors divided by the total # of guests.
Guests who are 6 years of age and younger stay free.
Boat Slips are $10.00 per night.
Cottages are fully stocked with linens on your arrival. Soiled linens may be exchanges for fresh at our cost.
Weekends have a 2 night minimum: March 7 through October 16.
Holiday Reservations have a minimum of 3 nights: Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day weekends.
All reservations require a one-night deposit at the base rate for each reserved unit.
Cancellation policy: A 14 day cancellation notice is required for individual reservations, and a 30 day cancellation notice is required for reservations which are part of a group or reunion. Late cancellations will result in forfeiture of deposit. There is a $15.00 fee for cancellations.
Check-In time is 3:30 p.m. Check-Out time is 12:00 noon
Day Guests are welcome. The fee is $5.00 per guest/per day. Please have day guests register at the office.
Pets are welcome. The fee is $10.00 per pet/per day. Please keep pets on a leash and never leave them unattended in the cottage.
Swimming in the pool or in the lake is at your own risk. No Lifeguard.
Please make all drivers aware that the speed limit on our entry road is 20 mph, and the speed limit on our grounds is 5 mph. We have many children present.
Cottages left excessively dirty or with dirty dishes are subject to a minimum of a $25 fee. Please sweep and pick up cottages and don’t leave dirty dishes.
