Rear of the lake house

The Point lake house is located on Lake LBJ in Granite Shoals, between Kingsland and Marble Falls, Texas.  It is only about 60 minutes northwest of Austin, 90 minutes north of San Antonio, 4 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 4 1/2 hours west of Houston.

This completely remodeled lake house can comfortably sleep up to 12 people.  It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room, dining area and kitchen upstairs.  Downstairs it has 3 bunk beds, a living area, bathroom, utility room with washer and dryer, and a garage that can be used as a game room or for parking cars.   You will appreciate the care that the owners took in upgrading and decorating this lake home.

The Fishing Pier The fishing pier at The Point is the perfect place to catch the big one.  It is also a good place to sit and enjoy the view of Lake LBJ.  You can see for miles, all the way to Wirtz Dam.

 
The boat dock and deck

The boat dock has a covered electric boat lift for guests to use.   You can also tie up your boats and jet skis along side the boat dock.  It also has a spacious deck with slippery slide, swimming ladder, four chaise lounges and a table with six chairs.  Next to the deck is a shallow water swimming area.  This is one of four areas at the home where family and friends can gather outdoors by the lake.

If you do not have a boat or personal watercraft, they can be rented locally.

 
Upper deck and lower porch with great lake views

The upper deck has seating for six people at the table and a couple of extra chairs.  The downstairs porch has seating for four at the table and also has a barbeque.  The deck at the boat dock seats 6 at the table and 4 on the chaise lounges.  There are another two chairs on the fishing pier.  With 20 chairs and 4 chaise lounges, everyone can have their own favorite spot to enjoy the lake.  

Lakeside Hammock

Want to take a little snooze while listening to the water lapping against the shore?  Or, maybe just relax and enjoy the gentle lake breezes as you lie in the hammock?  The hammock is very popular with guests at The Point.

View from inside the home

The view from the living room, dining area and kitchen definitely has the "Wow" factor.  Windows on the side of the home also offer spectacular views of the lake.  At night the lights around the shore and the moon glistening on the water are very enchanting.

The living room has comfortable seating for watching TV or resting after having a day of fun on the lake.  An attractive stone fireplace adds to the ambience of the room.

 
The kitchen of the lake house

You'll love fixing a meal in this sleek, modern kitchen.  It is completely stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal.  All you need to supply is the food and drinks.  Bar stools are handy for afternoon snacks or just visiting with the cook.  A dining table is located close to the upper deck for enjoying the lake view.

 
Master Bedroom

The soft hues in the master bedroom create a tranquil atmosphere.  The king-sized bed is dressed in luxury linens and pillows.  A walk-in closet accommodates all of your clothing, etc.  The adjoining bath has a large tiled shower with a built-in bench.  The master bedroom has a nice view of the lake.

 
The second and third bedrooms

The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the third bedroom has two twin beds.  There is a bathroom with a tub/shower combination in the hallway that these two bedrooms share.  All three of these bedrooms are on the upper floor and are ideal for adults and children.

There is also a separate sleeping and living area downstairs for children or extra guests.

 
Downstairs sleeping and living area

The lower floor is the perfect place for the kids to hang out with their own TV and living area.  It includes 3 bunk beds, a bathroom and a table for games and eating. 

A utility room with a washer and dryer is also on the lower floor.   A handy laundry chute from the upper floor to the utility room facilitates doing the laundry.

All linens are furnished, but please bring your own beach towels.

Children and adults both enjoy using the ping pong table in the garage, the basketball goal next to the driveway, the washers pit in the yard, and the foosball table in the bunk room.
